DIY WINDOW RESTRICTORS AND DOOR LATCHES – EASY TO INSTALL

LockLatch™ lockable latches fit any type of window or door. Whether it’s wood, metal, aluminium or PVC and they can be installed whichever way the door or window opens.

All you will need is a drill, a screwdriver or pop rivet gun with an external barrel diameter of 17mm or less to ensure it clears the D ring on the footplate of the latch!

WOOD & METAL

(when using one way screws)

Download & Print

1. Remove the backing tape from the double sided tape on the bottom of each footplate.

2. Position the LockLatch™ on the frame using the double sided tape to help you. If you need to drill into masonry use plastic wall plugs.

3. Check that the window or door opens and closes and that the LockLatch™ fits, locks and unlocks and the gap adjusts as required.

4. Mark the position for the holes

5. Remove the latch lock

6. Drill four pilot holes only a little smaller in diameter than the [difficult to reverse] one way screws we supply”

7. Reposition the latch lock

8. Insert the four one-way screws

9. Done. Perfectly secure window restrictor!

ALUMINIUM, PVC & METAL

(when using pop rivets)

Download & Print

2. Position the LockLatch™ on the frame using the double sided tape to help you. If you need to drill into masonry use plastic wall plugs.

3. Check that the window or door opens and closes and that the LockLatch™ fits, locks and unlocks and the gap adjusts as required.

5. Remove the latch lock

6. Using a 5mm bit, drill four holes for the pop rivets

7. Reposition the latch lock

8. Insert the pop-rivets

9. Done. Perfectly secure door restrictor!
